Bouquet
Say it with flowers... The tradition of wedding
flowers...
From the earliest times,
brides have adorned their hair with flowers and
carried bunches of flowers. Flowers were often
thrown at the couple after the ceremony! The Groom’s
buttonhole, worn on his lapel, usually matches one
of the flowers in his bride’s bouquet. This
tradition goes back to medieval times when knights
wore the colours of their lady in tournaments.
From a simple posy to stunning bouquets,
buttonholes, corsages, flower girl bags and table
centre pieces – Cyprus Wedding Belles
can arrange all your flower requirements.

The choice of your
bouquet depends on the style of your wedding gown. A
simple little posy of mixed flowers would look out
of place with a formal gown.
The bouquet size should also be in proportion to the
bride. Too large a bouquet or spray would overpower
a petite bride and ‘hide’ her dress and visa versa.
Most popular shaped arrangements for the bride’s
flowers are:
Hand-tied simple cluster
of long stemmed flowers:

Round Posy of tightly
arranged flowers

Cascade or Sprays –
large, tear-shaped arrangement in which the flowers
gracefully spill downwards.
